Witches Coven

We had a witches Halloween Party last night, and I was asked to capture the memories. I have to say...this was one of the most fun and funniest thing I have ever seen. I had so much fun just sitting back, watching all these ladies intermingling and working through the "murder mystery." To see all these women, at such a range of ages, acting like little kids playing dress up, was such an experience. Then to try to look at the lady's at church this morning and see if I could recognize who was who!

Happy Halloween!

Chunky Monkey

I went to a friend's house this weekend to take pictures and enjoy a Halloween party. When I showed up a little early before destruction occurred, I ran in to one of my favorite chunky monkeys. Coleson is about the cutest thing ever and I just couldn't help but take some quick pictures of him.

Braxten Ray - 3 Years

Had a great weekend! I got to take pictures of my favorite little man in the world! He did such a wonderful job. He was definitely patient with me and ended up being a full day worth of posing. I love it when he "poses" for me. He can be such a ham. We even trespassed to get some neat pics of an old farm house and windmill and didn't even get caught! Sorry Melissa that we don't have a better story, but I believe there will be more to come.

The Bates Family

I got to take some very cute pictures of a very cute family. We had a great day. The kids did a wonderful job and everyone dealt with the heat very well. I really thought we would have some meltdowns because it was hot and everyone would get tired. Didn't happen, at least, not for that reason. Carson wanted to take pictures on his horse, Biscuit. Unfortunately, Biscuit got a taste of freedom in an unfamiliar pasture and took off running. Carson got his first buck off. He was okay, only had a bruise on his back and landed in a pile of cow poop. We got the horse caught and got Carson back on him for a little bit. As of yesterday, he wanted to leave the horse in Paradise while he went on home to Quanah, but I am pretty sure he will forget all about it pretty soon.

Maternity Pictures

I talked Nikki and Chad into doing a quick maternity shoot while I was at the house this weekend. Nikki is pretty modest and so she was a little nervous about what I had planned. I promised her no naked pictures, though, so she agreed. LOL. Thanks Nikki and Chad for letting me take these pictures and get my feet wet. Love you, guys!

I got the chance to take pictures of some great friends this past weekend. We started off taking some fast pics of Ali. It had been some time since Nikki had gotten some portraits done of my baby girl and they have a mini family reunion coming up this weekend. We got some really cute shots of her, this time around. She was in a good mood and ready to cooperate for the camera which is not always the case.

Adventures in Baby Pictures

I had mentioned a couple of days ago that I was going to get to take pictures of a cute, little baby boy for Easter. I may have not gone into the detail of it, but there you have it! What a fun adventure this was. To start off, I was nervous about being late so I went and found the place and decided to go shopping at a neat store around the corner to kill time. I timed my official arrival just right. Not to early and not late. It makes me nervous to think of myself as being late to anything. I should have taken into consideration that I was dealing with new parents who WERE going to be late. I think that is a given in the scheme of things. We were also doing the shoot at Mama's parent's house, and lo and behold, they weren't there, yet. They had gotten trapped in the mess of construction traffic that runs right in front of my apartment. The very same traffic that I left early, in order to account for, because I knew it was there, unlike the grandparents of the baby.

We all finally made it. And then the real adventure began. I had the request of taking naked baby pictures, in which the baby would be posed on white sheets. I loved the idea and jumped at the chance. We found the negative aspect of this when natural baby, body functions took place on said white sheet. Luckily, we were at a point where we could mark that pose done when the event occurred.

Half the group had other engagements, so it came down to me, Mom, Dad and baby. We decided to go take pictures on the golf course where Grandma and Grandpa live and are members. Apparently, the ground's keeper did not agree with us that this was a good idea and kicked us off the course.

Then, we went back to the house. There was an awesome distressed cinder block wall in the backyard. It just screamed for pictures that could be turned into black and whites. Little did we realize, the back door locks behind you when you step outside. Dad had to jump the 10 foot cinder block wall. Walked down the highway to the entrance road and come back in the front door to let us in.

I think we exhausted baby boy and it was time to call it a day, but I was really happy with the end results!
